Life Post

It has been awhile since I last posted and I am so sorry about that! A new semester of college has started and I have been a busy bee this past week. For those of you who don't know, I'm a fashion student at Kent State University. So far I love all of my classes and professors. The only class I don't love is my math class but that's no surprise. Math has always been my hardest subject but I'm determined to do great this semester! Despite having to wake up so early, I'm actually looking forward to school next week. I'm very happy there's no school on Monday though.

I will try to post more often. Not gonna lie, I've also had a bit of 'blogger's block'. I want to post OOTD's but I've been holding off because I'm nervous. Also, I wanted to improve my photography skills a little more. I'm so new to the whole blogging world, I'm over thinking everything when really I need to just relax and have fun.

I will post something soon! I plan to post something this week. I'm not entirely sure what it will be but I'll figure it out. Also, I'm thinking about changing the look of this blog. I like it but I'm not in love with the way it looks. We'll see though!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Review and Swatches: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

It's been very hectic this past week but I finally have a chance to relax and write. This is my first post of 2014, crazy huh? I can't believe it! New year, new semester of college. It's very cold and snowy outside, I'm all bundled up under my covers with my space heater on full blast. Next week it's supposed to be below zero. Brr.

Today I am going to be doing a review on the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms. I heard about this new lip product from watching a review that YouTube guru Leighannsays did. I purchased two of the matte balms and wanted to share my opinion.

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms come in a sleek jumbo pencil which you can twist up and down, no sharpening needed.  The packaging is very nice, sleek, and simple. They are very similar to the Revlon Balm Stains except that these are a matte formula. The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are $6.49 at my Target.

They come in ten colors and I bought two, Showy and Shameless. Showy is a beautiful bright pink color and Shameless is a gorgeous purple color. They are both such fun, bright colors but I think Shameless is my favorite. This is the first purple lip color I've owned and I love it! It's so bold, unique, and fun.

Both of these colors are very pigmented and glide on the lips so easily. The staying power of these matte balms are amazing! I wore Shameless for a New Years Eve party and it didn't budge, even hours later after I ate and drank. I didn't have to do any touch ups. Since these are a matte formula I expected them to feel very dry on the lips but to my surprise they aren't at all. The matte balms only started to feel slightly drying on New Years Eve several hours after I first applied it.

My overall opinion on the Revolon Colorburst Matte Balms are that I love them. They are very pigmented, they don't dry out the lips, and they last a long time on the lips. I am very happy with this product.

Have you tried the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms? What's your opinion on them?

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day or night!
